Memory Mechanism Enhances Cooperation in Mobile Multi-agent System

The rapid development of smart devices enabled the emergence of resource sharing among mobile individuals. Mobile users need to cooperate with each other to improve the whole network's quality of service. How to enhance cooperation in moving populations is challengeable. We address the problem by constructing a random mobile multi-agent evolutionary system, in which agents playing repeated Prisoner's Dilemma game with each other. Agents can remember the game history and make decisions by game history and strategies. There are two evolutionary modes: combat-offspring-diffusion (COD) and combat-diffusion-offspring (CDO). The simulation results show that memory can greatly enhance cooperation in the two modes.
