Stepped-impedance line with DGS resonator for narrow band bandstop filter

This paper prevents a new structure to construct a narrow band bandstop filter by combining stepped-impedance line with defected ground structure (DGS) resonator. This work use microstrip technology to provide a convenient way to connect with other microwave circuit. It has a sharp reject band, and the fractional bandwidth of 10dB cutoff is about 5%. This filter works in the center frequence of 14GHz, and has a 40dB stopband attenuation. It is observed that proposed filter have sharper corresponding as well as high stopband attenuation compared to others.
