Interaction of nonsymmetric electromagnetic waves guided by an anisotropic cylinder

The nonlinear interaction of nonsymmetric electromagnetic waves guided by infinitely extended anisotropic cylinder surrounded by a uniform dielectric medium is considered. The parametric instability of the electromagnetic guided waves propagating in the opposite directions is analyzed in the case of the cylinder filled with a resonant magnetoplasma. For some practically interesting cases, analytical and numerical results illustrating the interaction of the surface waves are presented.
