A security analysis on standard IoT protocols

In this paper we explore the security challenges of the IoT industry with focus on standardized communication protocols. We provide implementation details for the security levels mandated by the Constrained Application Protocol and see how these reflect in Message Queuing Telemetry Transport protocol. Finally we conclude our analysis emphasizing the necessity of anonymization and decentralized authentication.
