Sag calculation difference caused by temperature difference between the steel core and outer surface of overhead transmission lines

This paper presents an numerical approach that considers into account the electrical behavior of the ACSR, for determining temperature distrbution, by using the ANSYS CFX over the cross sections of the aluminium conductor steel reinforced. Using this model verified by the experimental results later, we determine the temperature in individual layers, and the radial temperature difference of ACSR 240/30mm

type is analyzed in the case of different current. Based on the experimental results, this paper discusses the calculation difference of sag caused by temperature difference, as well as the calculation difference of sag at different spans and elevation difference angles.
