Characteristics evaluation of sensing network in wireless landslide surveillance system

Wireless Sensor Node Network System (WSNNS) serves a vital role in landslide surveillance system. Hence, to evaluate the quality of WSNNS is crucial; so as to maintain the reliable operation of the system. The quality of WSNNS depends on network topology, since it extends over large area and also there are some restraints on transmission of data. Through real experiments and data analysis, we manifested implementation of multi-host nodes and estimation of network characteristics in WSNNS by considering three facets: network robustness, data latency and loads balance. Thus, from this evaluation method we can analyze the network quality, number of gateways needed and their ideal positions by balancing all three facets depending on the system requirements.
