Melody-coded fuzzy instructions containing time-depth implications for use in a drive-assistance system

A method of presenting fuzzy instructions in the form of melodious sounds that contain information on the manipulation of inputs over a certain period of time, rather than instantaneous information, is proposed for supporting a human operator who is handling a dynamic system. Such information suggests proper input transitions with fuzzy membership values and is presented in the form of instinctive melodious expressions composed based on functional harmonies. As an important example, the proposed method is applied to a drive-assistance system for an electric train system, and simulation runs are conducted to demonstrate its effective performance.
