Nonlinearity Testing of Capacitance Bridges Using Programmable Capacitors

We report a test method for characterizing nonlinearity of capacitance bridges by employing two programmable capacitors. Results of several typical bridge nonlinearities are presented. Spectral analysis reveals that the bridge nonlinearities have periodic structures and cannot be reduced through data averaging.
