Talbot Self-imaging effect with Bessel beams

In this paper, we have studied that during the propagation of the Bessel beam, which property between-a) Self-reconstruction property of Bessel beam and b) Self-imaging effect of Talbot, actually prevails over the other. Simulated studies have been carried out to prove that the Talbot Self-imaging phenomenon and its properties, which have previously been observed for planar and spherical wave illumination, also holds true for Bessel beam waves. A grating is generated with Bessel beam illumination and henceforth its convolution with Fresnel diffraction function verifies that properties like Frequency doubling, half period shifting and Replica of Talbot image can be observed at different Talbot distances for any order Bessel beam.
