Storage and transmission of information using grey level QR (quick-response) code structure

Paper proposes a new way for storage and transmission of information using a grey level QR-Code structure has been proposed in this paper. Instead of using only black and white modules, the proposed code is designed to employ different grey levels which enables larger storage capacity compared to traditional binary QR-Codes. This results in increase in the data capacity as compared to the data capacity of the current QR-Code scheme. Also a scheme is proposed to determine different grey levels accurately reducing the error produced due to effect of environmental lightning conditions. Such scheme has been made possible by the capacity of cameras to recognize image that is beyond black and white and there adaption as a device to scan and decode QR-Codes in daily life.
