Terahertz dual-band asymmetric transmission of linear polarization in multi-layered chiral metamaterials

We study a dual-band asymmetric transmission in a multi-layered chiral metamaterial in the terahertz (THz) regime. The chiral metamaterial is composed of stacked five layers and each metallic layer of sandwiched between two dielectric layers. The simulated results show that the multi-layered chiral metamaterial can achieve dual-band cross-polarization conversion with an efficiency of over 35% for both y- and x-polarized THz waves.
