Slow wave EBG-based transmission lines and applications

This work is devoted to the analysis/study of slow-wave artificial transmission lines implemented by means of reactively-loaded electromagnetic bandgaps (EBGs). Various types of lines (microstrip, CPW) are considered, and both inductive and capacitive loading are studied. The design equations of these lines are used and applied to the design of various microwave devices, where miniaturization and spurious cancellation, or filtering, are the main advantages.
