An efficient signcryption algorithm using bilinear mapping

Communicating a message through insecure channel has always been a problem and more becomes the difficulty of checking the authenticity of the received message. The notion of signcryption provides the confidentiality, authenticity at a very low cost as compared to the sign then encrypt process. The paper proposes three new schemes: firstly, we design encryption algorithm and a new signature scheme and then we combine both these proposed schemes to design a new efficient signcryption algorithm based on bilinear mapping. We also show that the proposed scheme is efficient as compared to Libert et al [3].
