An analysis of images using fuzzy contrast enhancement techniques

This paper presents an Image enhancement technique based on fuzzy logic that addresses different membership values and fuzzy techniques for contrast enhancement of images. A fuzzy technique has been designed based on human perception for better improvement of contrast in the given image. As per literature, contrast enhancement techniques have shown improved image quality using the method of adjustment of parametric value for different membership functions. The membership values are used in the paper to show the degree of darkness or brightness of an image. A detailed image analysis has been done using different qualitative attributes of the image in the simulation. The results show that the better enhancement in image contrast. It can be obtained by taking different membership function for transformation of membership values in the fuzzy domain.
