Seven years of conferences on automated testing in the automotive industry

The paper reviews some of the important points that have been brought out by the annually held International Symposia on Automotive Technology and Automation. The symposium proceedings reflect the rapid growth that has taken place in this area of automated testing over the past few years and can be used to illustrate the developments that have taken place together with the factors that brought them about. The current direction of the conference subject matter can also be used to predict some of the trends that will be seen in the future.
