Real time simulation of microprocessor based multi-area tie line power controller

This paper reports on the development of microcomputer aided realtime simulation of three utilities by three motor-alternator sets which are interconnected via tie lines. The utilities are considered as separate areas supplying their own loads and in addition power transfer takes place between them as per the need of power situation without violating the priori contracts. This can be treated as very useful training simulator in man-power development.
