A new fire protection system of power cable tunnel based on wireless sensor network monitoring system

For existing problems and defects of power cable tunnel fire protection system, a new type of fire alarm and protection system was developed. Wireless transmission technology and distributed fire detection units are used to this system, and it can collect the real-time data of temperature, smoke concentration and the concentration of toxic gases. Two layer transmission network are set up to transmit the data collected by the wireless terminal devices while the GPRS network are used to remote data transmission. It is available to look up and query the data on the monitoring software. The operation state assessment of power cable could easily get from the historical data.
