Finite element simulation of eddy currents induced by gradient coils in superconducting MRI

The problem of eddy current generated by the gradient coil in superconducting MRI is discussed. A three-dimensional finite element model is set up to simulate the magnetic flux density generated by the eddy currents of the gradient coil in the patient region. A transversal gradient coil is designed and validated with the three-dimensional finite element method.
