An improved compact wideband symmetric five port reflectometer

This article presents a new design of a low-cost, very compact and wideband five-port reflectometer operating at frequency band of 2.9 to 6.8 GHz. The proposed reflectometer is designed by using symmetrical five branch-lines which designed and analyzed by using Agilent's Advance Design Systems (ADS) software. The simulation results showed that the proposed five port reflectometer operates over the ultra-wideband frequency and it has a good performance for both magnitude and phase. The obtained results are in agreement with the theoretical predictions.
