Rapid address allocation method in underwater acoustic array system

To achieve flexible address allocation of acquisition units in underwater acoustic array system, a rapid address allocation method is proposed in this paper. This method is based on cascaded topology structure of acoustic array system, and it will transmit an address assignment command to each acquisition unit for address allocation. Until the last acquisition unit allocates its local address, address assignment of the whole system is completed. The results of experiments show that the system can complete the address allocation within 4.14us, which verified the feasibility of the rapid allocation method.
