An enhanced TKM-TR method for PAPR reduction of OFDM signals with peak regrowth and peak residual reduced

In this paper, the authors propose an enhanced TKM-TR method to reduce the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of the OFDM systems. The proposed method uses distinct sign vectors to generate a set of different scaling vectors in the TKM-TR, thus alternative OFDM signals are generated and the one with the lowest PAPR is transmitted. Compared to the original method, simulation results show that the peak regrowth and peak residual are fairly reduced and the proposed method yields more PAPR reduction with a slightly computational complexity reduced in the simulations.
