Substrate Integrated Waveguide for UWB-based communications

In this work, the authors have tried to bring out the focus towards designing of the Substrate Integrated Waveguide in a different ways where the backlogs of designing them through the conventional method has been tackled. During this change in the design methodology, none of the antenna parameters such as the Reflection Co-efficient (S
₁₁
) and the Transmission Co-efficient (S
₂₁
) are ever being compromised. Rather it has been very much observed that all the necessary information is well stocked for the convenient analysis. All the designs been always carried out with the help of ANSYS-High Frequency Structure Simulator, along with there has been a regular use of the FR-4 Substrate keeping in mind its internal characteristics and the impact it would put upon design. The designed structure showcased good behaviour at the 2.4 GHz with S
₁₁
and S
₂₁
taken as together for which it also achieves the complete coverage of the Ultra Wideband (UWB) as prescribed by Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
