A broadband Multifunction antenna for mobile communication applications

This paper describes the wideband compact antenna designed and developed for Multifunction mobile communication applications. The antenna consisting of a two dipoles and coupling ⌋-shaped (Flipped L) feed line through Coaxial cable. This folded dipoles (radiating element) and the ⌋-shaped coupling feed line are etched on the two sides of foam material, which is having dielectric constant equal to one. The proposed antenna attains the bandwidth of 44.5% for Return Loss>10 dB, from the frequency range 1710–2690 MHz for multifunction's like 2G/3G/4G-LTE mobile communication applications. The gain of the proposed antenna is very stable and is equal to 9 dBi, appropriates for Multifunction base station application.
