Plasma-Assisted Treatment of Sewage Sludge

This paper presents the results of development and optimization of an industrial scale plant for the integrated plasma treatment of sewage sludge. The enhanced plant flow diagram, critical elements selection, and heat and mass balance optimization provide a solid basis for prototyping a plant for the treatment of digested sewage sludge with up to 75% water content.
