Reactive power control in microgrid by using Photovoltaic Generators

The objective of this paper is to analyse the reactive power control of the micro grid system using Photo Voltaic (PV) as a source. This paper focuses on the compensation of reactive power and improving the real power. This system process is implemented in micro grid system. The harmonic distortion levels and reduction methods were increased penetration levels of Photovoltaic Generators (PVGs) in the distribution network. The maximum IHDv and THDv of the system do not exceed the IEEE-519 limit. To achieve the Maximum Power,role="author"Micro grid system with Perturb and Observe algorithm and Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) has been proposed. This Paper proposes the several control algorithms through which the capability of PV generators for active and reactive power (P-Q) in microgrid connected could be harnessed. A closed loop is implemented which improves the voltage. In this closed loop system PID controller is used which maintains the stability of the system. A DC-DC converter is implemented which improves the output voltage. The chosen control parameters in the proposed control methodologies can seamlessly control inverter P-Q in grid connected system. The proposed technique is designed by Matlab/simulink. The simulation of PQ control is analysed. The simulation is carried out by the waveform.
