Fuzzy boids using a dynamic weighting method based on Gauss circle

In this paper, boids model is expanded to simulate flocking behavior more realistically by using a dynamic weighting method based on Gauss circle. The membership function of fuzzy algorithm is first introduced to formulate the moderate distance of fishes with each other. Then, a dynamic weighting method based on gauss circle is developed, which is dynamically weighted according to the gauss circle grid points and the distribution of current fish's neighbors, this method is used to adjust the weights of results generated by rules of fuzzy boids to achieve the best density of fish. Furthermore, a swarm genetic algorithm is employed to optimize the population. Additionally, the model is applied to simulate the fish school in nature. The simulation results show that the motion of the fish school coincides with that of the real one, and the proposed model is valid.
