Active compensation control based on the adaptive reset state observer for stochastic disturbance suppression in the billet heating process

This paper is intended to solve the problem of the stochastic disturbance suppression for the heating furnace temperature control existed in the billet heating process. It aims to propose an active compensation control method based on adaptive reset state observer (ARSO) for stochastic disturbance suppression. The structure of the active compensation control system (ACCS) for the stochastic disturbance suppression is presented and an ARSO is designed. In this method, an equivalent input disturbance (EID) compensation is drawn into the input channel of the ACCS to eliminate the influence of the stochastic disturbance by real-time estimation of the outside stochastic disturbance. With consider the strong nonlinear, large time delay, big inertia of the heating furnace, an adaptive parameter is introduced to the state observer, so that the states are reset based on the sector reset condition. For the parameters of the ACCS, the stability of the ACCS is analysed by the Lyapunov function, then yields a set of linear matrix inequality (LMI). The simulation results show that this method not only well suppress the influence of stochastic disturbance in the process of billet heating, but also meet the requirements of stability and accuracy.
