A new self-calibration method of time-sharing measurement based on laser tracker

In time-sharing measurement method, system self-calibration is very important to improve detection accuracy. In traditional time-sharing measurement method, system self-calibration is finished by lots of targets coordination from NC machine moving. This self-calibration method not only needs complex motion trajectory but also increases repeatability errors. In this paper, a new system self-calibration method is proposed. Before detecting NC machine, the cat's eye is fitted on a standard component which has very high accuracy to move according to advanced setting trajectory. The laser tracker is in four different station respectively. System self-calibration is finished by targets coordination from the standard component. Because the standard component has very high accuracy, the system self-calibration accuracy is very higher too. By theoretical deviation and experiment, it is proved that the new self-calibration method is very important to improve detection accuracy.
