Replicating an Energy Efficient Human Brain Using 40nm FPGA Technology

This paper elucidates the replicating of a human brain which is energy efficient. The power consumption factor has been highly focused in this research. Attempts have been made to study those conditions at which the consumption of power is minimum. An artificial human brain is advantageous over the real brain due to the fact that it has a higher accuracy, it can perform those rigorous calculation in seconds where the human brain gets jumbled up and the biggest advantage of all being that it is not prone to any type of diseases. The left part of the brain performs the logical operations whereas the right portion has been used to carry out the arithmetic operations. Frequency has been varied between 1GHz and 10GHz relative to which the power consumption has been studied. The total consumption varies within a range of 3.8% to 20.34%. It has been found out that the brain responds more positively at lower frequencies. The analysis has been done using the XILINX software and the Verilog Hardware Description Language. An artificial brain would take the automation in the field of electronics a step ahead. It would prove to be a godsend in the field of automation.
