Model for estimation the effects of new generators connected to existing distribution network of Kosovo

The electrical power system of Kosovo is a compact and integrated structure in hierarchical aspect. It plays an important role in the process of transmission and distribution energy to the consumers. Based on this importance analysis is necessary in order to estimate the medium and long term plans of production of electric energy and development of the power generation plants. Object of study in this article is the project for connection of generators to the substation in Dragash. This article describes the simulations of the hydropower plant, when the load in the substation. Dragash is maximal (31.01.2016 during the winter) in order to emphasize the importance of the connections of generators in medium voltage level. The analysis of the Kosovo electric power system as performed by means of ETAP 12.6 software. This article describes impact of hydropower plant (with two generators) Dragash with power 6 MW on the improving of the voltage profile, short circuit current level impact, interlocking with network sources.
