Numerical mold filling analysis and flow visualization verification of the effect of capillary numbers on micro embossing micro grooves

This study investigated the effect of capillary number on the micro embossing process. Computer-aided engineering simulation software was used to predict filling patterns of polymer materials inside the micro grooves mold cavities during the micro embossing process. Flow visualization technology and special mold design were employed to conduct real-time observation and record the deformations in the flow of polymer materials.
