TPMS tire position registration algorithm using acceleration and RSSI data

TPMS is a device that allows a driver to know quickly current status of tires. It has the warning and alerting function to prevent car accidents, when tires have become dangerous such as low pressure, high temperature, and leaking. In this paper, we propose an automatic tire-position registration algorithm using the acceleration data measured at TPMS sensors and RSSI data measured at receiver module. Because of its advantage that the tire position is recognized automatically, this algorithm can effectively utilized for developing the smart car or the driverless car.
