An adaptive detection and beamforming algorithm for a variable number of signals

This paper presents a method to eliminate an unknown number of interferences from the signals received by an antenna array, with the purpose of obtaining only the incident signals of interest. The angles of arrival are determined by using a variation of the MUSIC detection algorithm. The performance of the beamformer is analyzed with respect to the number of the elements that form the antenna array and the number of estimated incident signals.
