Moving target detection in MIMO radar with asynchronous data

Target detection in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar is researched in this paper. We consider a MIMO radar whose transmitters and receivers all employ focused beams to acquire a higher data rate. In addition, the transmitters can illuminate the target asynchronously which means a higher data rate. Based on these characters, in this paper we proposed a detection method that detect the moving target with asynchronous data provided by multiple transmitters in multiple sampling. Moreover, to achieve the proposed algorithm efficiently, a fast implementation method is also proposed. It is demonstrated by both simulations and analysis that the proposed algorithm achieve better performance than the classical method based on single sampling, since it takes into account the target kinematics and employs more echo signals to make the decision.
