RFID applied to protective equipment inspection

This article presents the development of an efficient solution for checking the use of protective equipment in fieldwork through a R&D project between Fundacao CPqD [1] and COELCE [2]. This is a monitoring tool applied in the supervision and oversight of field operations that through RFID technology (Radio Frequency Identification) tells the user the absence or inadequate use of protective equipment by warning signs. The functional description of the solution, its implementation and field tests are the points addressed.
