Comparative study between two Maximum Power Point Tracking techniques for photovoltaic system

This paper presents a comparative study between two algorithms techniques which are Incremental Conductance and Perturb and Observe used to maximize the efficiency of the solar generator under variations of solar irradiation, temperature and electrical loads. Indeed, the Maximum Power Point Tracking algorithms are used to control a DC-DC boost converter to generate the Maximum Power Point of the generator photovoltaic. The computer simulation results, in Matlab/Simulink environment, presented in this paper show that the photovoltaic simulation system can track the maximum power point accurately using the two maximum power point tracking techniques.
