Improvements on spacecraft power regulators

Sequential Switching Shunt Regulator (S3R) is a voltage regulator circuit used in geosynchronous satellites of the Indian Space Program. The research article presents design and implementation of Majority Voting Logic using transistors and diodes to incorporate failsafe mechanism in S3R. The article presents three improvements in the existing S3R. They are, Reduction of di/dt using passive filtering, Introduction of synchronous switching to reduce power loss and a novel method of hysteresis level implementation.
