Characteristic analysis of a vernier PM motor considering adjustable speed control

This paper deals with characteristic analysis of a vernier PM motor for adjustable speed with vector control strategy. Under the control, the characteristics of constant torque for speed variation are analytically analyzed with electrical circuit parameters which are obtained from vernier PM machine geometries, and they are compared with those of conventional PM machines. Finally, an analysis model produced for case study is analyzed with FEM.
