The Effect of the Nonlinear Distortion on OFDM Based Cognitive Radio Systems over Rayleigh Fading Channel

The current and future technologies for wireless communication, such as WiFi, WiMAX, LTE and DVB-T, using an OFDM signaling, choose a cognitive radio to solve the problem of scarcity of spectrum resources. One of the key issues is the large peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) resulting in signal OFDM, what becomes, the performance of the transceiver is very sensitive to nonlinear distortions caused by high-power amplifiers (HPAs). In this work, we treat the impact of Non-Linear High Power Amplifier (NL-HPA) on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing System based on Cognitive Radio (OFDM-CR) over Rayleigh fading channel.
