Future grid 2050 in context of UK gone green scenario

The paper discuses the activities and plans of both the United Kingdom and European Union in the area of development of the future electrical grid. It is investigated how environmental issues and political measures, especially in the energy sector, are linked together and how a future grid in 2050 will potentially look. The grid 2050 is analysed with regard to their emissions, energy demand and energy mix in context of UK Gone Green scenario suggested by UK National Grid. The research is based on European and UK regulations, and the current state of technologies in this sector.
