An Antisymmetric Design of a Permanent-Magnet Phase Shifter for a Tandem EPU at TPS

A permanent-magnet (PM) phase shifter is designed for a phase match between a tandem elliptically polarized undulator (EPU) at TPS. The requirements and specifications of the phase match are explained in detail for the boundary conditions at TPS. An antisymmetric magnetic circuit with vertically magnetized end blocks serves to minimize the multipole errors and the fringe-field effect for a varied gap. The R
