Magnetic Aging Effect Losses on Electrical Steels

The magnetic losses behavior on electrical steels related to the magnetic aging is analyzed in this paper. Experimental procedures involving thermal, metallurgical, and electromagnetic measurements were performed. The evolution of the losses is modeled using a scalar hysteresis model, and the aging prediction on electrical motor steels is proposed using the Arrhenius formula. The proposed study brings relevant information to be considered on designing electrical motors.
