Stabilization of discrete-time dynamical systems via projection methods

The problem of stabilizing linear discrete-time dynamical systems is solved using a projection approach. Two state-feedback stabilizing controllers that steer the trajectory of the system onto a desired hyperplane and guarantee asymptotic stability are derived. The first controller reaches the preferred hyperplane asymptotically, whereas the second reaches it in one step, and they both steer the state trajectory toward the origin.<
