LMI-based D-stabilization for a class of networked control systems via dynamic output feedback

This paper is concerned with the design problem of D — stabilizing dynamic output feedback controllers for a class of discrete — time systems with time — varying network — induced delays. By separating the delays into several small units, the D — stabilization problem for the original networked control system is equivalently transferred into the stabilization problem for a delay — free switching system with arbitrary switching. Then, a sufficient condition for the D-stability of the closed — loop system is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), and a construction of the desired controllers which guarantee that all the closed — loop poles remain inside the specified disk D (α, r) is provided. Finally, an illustrative example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.
