Analysis on electromagnetic environment of high-speed train

With the raise of high-speed train's speed, traction power gradually increases. The number of controlling and communication equipment are also increased. So, electromagnetic environment in the carriage become worse. It is a big threat for the train and passengers' safety. In this paper, based on the theory of electromagnetic field, a three-dimensional finite element model concluding pantograph, train, and high voltage cable was established. The electromagnetic fields distribution for some important sections in carriage was analyzed. The electromagnetic field distribution was studied under the condition of normal running, short circuit, and Lightning. The results provide a theoretical foundation for high speed train's electromagnetic compatibility design.
