Evaluation of a non-contact power supply system with a figure-of-eight coil for railway vehicles

We have developed a non-contact power supply system for railway vehicle. A figure-of-eight coil which is able to decrease the leakage flux was adopted as a coil configuration. In this work, a proto-type system has been developed and its power collection performance was evaluated by using a test vehicle.
