Utilizing NOPs for online deterministic testing of simple processing cores

This paper proposes a method for online deterministic testing of processors that can detect online errors. It uses processor resources that are idle during NOP instructions to fetch deterministic test vectors from a non-volatile memory, and apply them to the processor using a low cost controller.
