Geometric phase for the far zone field emitted by an open rectangular waveguide

The article introduces Berry's (1984) geometric phase (GP) for the radiation field of an open rectangular waveguide for the first time. The decomposition of the total phase of the radiation field into a dynamical and a geometrical part is presented. The causes and characteristic features of GP are discussed.
