Experience with dielectric surfaces of FRP tools used in live line work

Manitoba Hydro has experienced two flashovers of supposedly clean FRP hot sticks used in live line work. These events have resulted in extensive investigations to identify the conditions that may lead to flashover as well as possible means of prevention.
