Release Stabilization on Linux and Chrome

An empirical study of the time and effort for release stabilization on Linux and Chrome found that small teams controlled the stabilization effort, few changes were reverted, and the original developer didn't do much of the rework. Despite regular rapid release cycles, a rush period occurred before release stabilization, and stabilization periods could vary up to 10 days.
